Neighborhood Companions was Awarded $23,500



Neighborhood Companions has received a $23,500 grant from the Maryland Department of Aging. This funding will be used to address isolation, depression, and loneliness among seniors in the area.

Neighborhood Companions plans to provide transportation services to Turner Station seniors, ensuring they can access essential resources and community activities. Additionally, regular companionship and home visits will be offered to combat loneliness and depression. The grant highlights the importance of supporting seniors in underserved communities and promoting social connectivity.
